Innoir – Branding for an Interior Designer with a Different Perspective

We created a visual identity for an interior design studio that doesn’t just shape spaces – it redefines the way we experience life within them.

Naming the Studio

The name Innoir is a creative play on meaning and form. It’s a compound word: the French noir means black, while the prefix in- denotes negation. Together, they form a new meaning – not dark, or one who brings light. Phonetically elegant and visually distinctive, the name also subtly echoes the word interior.

Additionally, designer Helena Matuzić specializes in lighting design. Innoir, therefore, unites personal expression with professional expertise.

More Than Design – A Spatial Experience of Vision and Light

Innoir is not just about aesthetics – it’s about experience. This project demonstrates how a name, a brand identity, and a digital presence can come together to tell a strong, coherent, and visually refined story.

Logo Design

The logo is the result of a play on lines – combining thick and thin strokes to form the initials “N” and “I”, while also suggesting a mirrored or duplicated “n”. This subtle visual pun enhances the uniqueness of the name. The visual identity is stripped down to essentials – yet every element carries meaning, just like every detail in the interiors the studio creates.

Web Design

In addition to the visual identity, we designed the website – minimalist, clean, and purpose-driven. A refined palette of beige and black sets the tone for elegance and balance. The website is functional, easy to navigate, and perfectly aligned with the brand’s aesthetics: nothing excessive, everything intentional.
