Wallpaper Print Design for Swanky Hostel

Wallpaper design project for the new annex of the Swanky Mint hostel. The basic idea was a reference to the historic appearance of Ilica Street and artisans. Thus, each room has its distinct theme, such as: Urar (Watchmaker), Šuster (Shoemaker), Brijačnica (Barbershop), Šeširi (Hatter) and Šnajderaj (Tailor). The graphic design of thematic wallpapers is inspired by the crafts themselves and their activities. Therefore, wallpapers are designed as technical drawings and detailed representations of objects used in individual crafts. For example, the “Watchmaker” room is decorated with wallpaper with an illustration of the clock mechanisms, and the “Shoemaker” room with instructions for making soles. With this, Swanky Hostel not only expanded its offer but also made us reminisce about simpler times and old-fashioned crafts.
